Dear UOC&PLUG finalists, you've now reached the final phase of this public challenge, and this means that whether you win or not, you've already gained admission to the specific prizes that the UOC and the various collaborators in the Challenge have prepared for you.
We are now entering the second stage of the UOC&PLUGGED challenge where we have prepared a series of talks, workshops and lectures from leading figures in the fields covered by UOC&PLUGGED.
The events are open to everyone.
Having passed the magic moment of 3/6/12/24 (3 June 2012, midnight), it is now time to start the second phase of the UOC&PLUGGED citizen ideas competition with new challenges and new opportunities for collaboration, development, training and publicity.
TalentUOC is our university’s response. It aims to include everyone who wants to offer local solutions to global problems and provide a source of knowledge and resources.
The challenge continues. There are ever more ideas accumulating and we can increasingly see positive synergies between those taking part.
Here at Open Minds, we want to reward the originality and creativity of the people taking part – this time through their photographs.
As we said in our last post, we have detected some fraudulent practices in the voting. For this reason, we have taken the measures necessary to ensure that these practices do not continue.
The first offline get-together for UOC&PLUGGED took place on Wednesday 9 May at Barcelona’s Moritz Factory. 400 people came to show the talent and potential in today’s society.
During this first week of voting, we have kept an eye on how the results have been developing and we have detected, via our security system, that there have been some fraudulent votes cast.
Next Wednesday, 9 May, at 6 pm, the UOC&PLUGGED citizen ideas competition organised by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC) is to be unveiled at the Moritz Factory.
Welcome to BLOG&PLUGGED, a forum created with the aim of highlighting the day-to-day of the challenge, where you’ll be able to discover the most outstanding ideas and learn about the Plug Sessions that we’ll be organising over these 17 weeks. You’ll also find information about our collaborators and sponsors, people who have in some way or other made this process possible.
The PLUG SESSIONS are a series of get-togethers at Barcelona’s Moritz Factory where experts in all the categories share their experience and knowledge with us.
